The North Taio Project is located 6km NE of the Taio Mine (1.2Moz Au @ 6.3g/t Au), known as the largest producer within the Middle Kyushu region.
- North Taio alteration zone and associated Au-pathfinder geochemical anomalies identified by Metal Mining Agency of Japan (“MMAJ”) who completed mapping, soil sampling and a resistivity survey. No drilling was undertaken.
- Alteration comprised localised zones of Kaolinite, dickite, pyrophyllite and alunite.
- Au – Sb – Hg localised anomalies associated with the alteration.
- Target interpreted to be a well-preserved epithermal target, potential for higher grade mineralisation at depth.
