Mr. Yamada is a mining business professional with extensive international experience. He was a founding Director of Japan Gold Corp. commencing in September 2016 until his retirement in December 2022 and served as the Representing Director of the Company’s operating subsidiary, Japan Gold KK, from 2017 - 2022. Prior to his involvement with Japan Gold, Mr. Yamada held increasingly senior roles with Sumitomo Corporation, overseeing all aspects of mining projects from exploration through to production, and ultimately achieving the position of Executive Officer and General Manager of Mineral Resources before retiring in 2012.
Mr. Harbidge is a geologist with more than 25 years of experience in mining exploration and development with a proven track record of discovering world class gold deposits. Mr. Harbidge was most recently the President and Chief Executive Officer of GT Gold and led the company to a CA$456 million acquisition by Newmont Mining Corp. in May 2021. Prior to leading GT Gold, Mr. Harbidge was the Senior Vice President of Exploration at the multinational gold mining company Goldcorp Inc. from 2016 until its acquisition by Newmont Mining Corp. in April 2019. Mr. Harbidge also successfully led the Exploration Team at the gold miner Randgold Resources Limited, resulting in five major gold discoveries including the +5Moz Gounkoto deposit in the Loulo area of Mali and the +4Moz Massawa deposit in Senegal. He is a technical advisor to Kalo Gold in Fiji and Gemdale Gold in Finland. Mr. Harbidge holds a First-Class Honours Degree in Geology from Kingston University, London, UK, and a Master of Science in Mineral Exploration and Mining Geology from Leicester University, UK.
Mr. Carlile is a geologist with more than 35 years of experience in the resource industry. Mr. Carlile has held senior executive and director positions with both major and junior resource companies, including as the president of the Indonesian and Philippines subsidiaries of Newcrest Mining Limited, and as the Chairman of Singaporean publicly listed oil company Pearl Energy Ltd. As a geologist, Mr. Carlile has a proven track record of mineral discovery and business building in Asia, most notably as Exploration Manager, Asia for Newcrest Mining Limited when it discovered its Gosowong mine. Mr. Carlile has served on the boards of several resource companies, and currently holds the position of director of Southern Arc Minerals Inc. and Non-executive Director of Kingsrose Mining Limited. He holds a BSc in Geology from the University of Reading, England, and an MSc in Mineral Exploration from the Royal School of Mines, Imperial College, University of London. Mr. Carlile is a Fellow of the AusIMM and a Fellow of the Geological Society of London.
Mr. Gallagher has more than 40 years of experience in the mining industry and is a Mineral Engineer with a specialty in mineral processing. Mr. Gallagher is a director for Yamana Gold Inc., Southern Arc Minerals Inc., Capstone Mining Corp., and BC Hydro. Most recently, he held the position of President and Chief Executive Officer at New Gold Inc. Previously, Mr. Gallagher held increasingly senior management roles at Newmont Mining Corporation over a seven-year period, including Vice President Operations, Asia Pacific; Vice President, Indonesian Operations; and General Manager, Batu Hijau. Earlier in his career, Mr. Gallagher worked at several operating mines located throughout the Americas and Asia in various engineering, metallurgical, and mine management roles, including most notably 15 years at Placer Dome Inc. Mr. Gallagher has considerable project development and operational experience. He has been recognized by industry associations for his contributions throughout his career. Most notably, in 2013 he accepted the Prospector & Developer Association of Canada's Viola R. MacMillan Award for Company or Mine Development on behalf of New Gold Inc., and in 2014 he was jointly recognized by the Association for Mineral Exploration British Columbia with the E.A. Scholz Award for Excellence in Mine Development.
Dr. Garwin has over 29 years of experience as an exploration geologist and is one of the leading authorities on porphyry, epithermal and Carlin‐style mineralization in the circum‐Pacific region and applies methods of structural geology and geochemistry towards gold and base‐metals exploration. He previously worked with Newmont Mining for ten years, including two years as Chief Geologist in Nevada, USA. He has been involved with several exploration and mining projects including the Batu Hijau copper-gold porphyry deposit (where he completed his PhD). Dr. Garwin was instrumental in the discovery of the porphyry copper-gold systems at Alpala – Cascabel, northwestern Ecuador and the implementation of state‐of‐the‐art detailed mapping and logging strategies for SolGold Plc. These processes have led to accurate drill hole targeting and rapid progression to resource definition.
